T-1 cable modem

A T1 line does not need a T1 cable modem to function properly. In fact, a T1 line works without the use of a modem. Modems are usually a lot slower than a T1 connection.

There is currently controversy over T1 lines and T1 cable modems. Some people think that high speed broadband is faster than a T1 line. But a T1 line is usually faster.

A T1 line functions without the use of a T1 cable modem. T1 lines are similar to DSL or broadband. They are a simple connection that may need a router, but does not need a modem.
